About :

Nocturnal is a drive-in dance performance for two dancers in two separate windows of an old house with a video projection  on the facade of the house. Audiences can watch it form with in their cars at the parking lot. Dancer’s live actions and projection of the moon cycles on the faced of the house makes a connection between the obvious and sublime. 

 

Premierd  

This performance was initially  rehearsed and presented at Martha’s House (the artist house) at the R.E.D residency during the R.E.D international dance film festival on 3^rd July 2020. 

 

Duration of the performance is 20 mins and it  can be repeated  2 or three times to give possibility to larger number of audiences/cars.  

 

Adoptive format :

The idea from start of the project was, that it will be adopted to fit on different locations depending on the sites/houses/ faced. we are even in process of making a version of the performance on husvogn, where we can be completely independent and yet come to different communities and offer them cultural experience.

I m personally very interested in old abandoned houses to perform as well. 

On tour 2020, 2021 & 2022

Performance is already selected for. Shwobox Dec 2020, 

Bærum UTE- as a pop up performance for Bærum Cultur house  in different location for three months starting Jan 2021 til March 2021.

Dansnett Norway in spring 2022.

Hybrid touring abroad :

in this time of the pandemic we are not able to travel as we used to and even if borders will open its better that we do not go on doing business as before, that we think of the our ecosystem around us. with these thoughts we have thought that this performance can travel with out us have ot travel, we can translate the performance to local dancers and give them rights to performance for their local communities. this will be a new practice for us but we are committed to reach far and share this performance with the word, spl. to the audiences who have very little Cultur /performances happening in their localities.
